The Very Best Makeup Products for Your Skin - Bronzer

`The Very Best Makeup Products for Your Skin

Makeup is an art form, a representation of individuality and freedom of expression. It is used to correct flaws and to enhance the natural beauty of a person which helps an individual in presenting themselves in society with confidence.

It's easy to get overwhelmed when there are so many different cosmetic products and formulations to select from, as well as the ongoing changes in design and trends. We can attain the look we want and get the most out of our makeup as long as we understand the basics and know what each product can genuinely do for us.

Types of Makeup

Primer Foundation Concealer

Powder Blush Contour

Bronzer Highlighter

Bronzer

Bronzer is used to give warmth, shine, and brightness to the face which is similar to a suntan without actually going out. It sits on the deeper parts of the face where the sun naturally hits.

Bronzer is all about giving your skin a healthy glow and warmth, and it's ideal if you want to seem sun-kissed without really going out in the sun. With only a few swipes, it brightens and warms up your complexion if you're feeling pale or fatigued. It can be used not only on the face but also on the entire body. It's also available in powder, cream, and liquid formulations.

Types of Bronzer

Powder Bronzer: This would be the 'classic,' as they called it. It is suitable for all skin types, but particularly for those with oily skin. A nice fluffy brush is used to apply it. Simply mix it in gradually so that it does not appear harsh on the skin.

Cream Bronzer: This bronzer is ideal for those who like a more subtle glow. This is more suitable for persons with dry skin. You may apply and mix it using a brush of your choice, your fingers, or a beauty sponge, much like a cream blush.

Liquid Bronzer: This bronzer has a similar texture as cream bronzer, although it's a little thinner. It mixes in seamlessly with the foundation, although it takes more effort to blend. You can also apply it with your fingertips, a make-up sponge, or a brush.

It also has a different finish. You can choose between matte and shimmer. Matte bronzers are better at adding depth and dimension to the face on top of warmth and it goes well with any skin type. This can be also used for contouring under the cheekbones, jawline, forehead, temples, and nose. While shimmer bronzers are typically used on the cheekbones, up the temples where the sun naturally hits the face. This would bring a glowy ‘summer’ look. But keep in mind that this also works as a highlighter so avoid using it if you have blemishes as it will bring more attention to them.

Bronzer vs. Contour

Bronzer shares some similarities with contour. They are both slightly darker than the skin tone and they both give an illusion of the light hitting the face. However, they are very different products and the techniques on how they are applied. Bronzer is applied on the areas where the sun naturally hits, to bring warmth to the face while contour on the other hand is applied to add depth and shadows mainly on the cheekbones, jawline, and nose to achieve a sharp and slimmer look.

BRONZER

Bronzer adds warmth to the skin and gives a sun-kissed radiance

Areas to Bronze: Along the forehead, bridge of the nose, top of the cheeks, and chin.

CONTOUR

Contour accentuates the "shadows" on the face. It perfectly defines and sculpts your natural features.

Areas to Contour: Hairline, temples, sides of the nose, hollows of cheekbones, and jawline.

Applying Bronzer

When applying a powder bronzer choose a fluffy brush that is not dense and stiff as it can leave streaks when blending and you can use a blending brush if using cream or liquid. Apply it on the top of your forehead, under the cheekbones, down your jaw, and also along the side of the nose. You can also use the number three-technique which starts on the top of your forehead, down to the temple, then brings the brush under the cheekbone, and then under the jawline, just like mimicking the number three.
