The refreshing sheet mask made from biodegradable cellulose fibers sits perfectly on the skin and facial contours. A powerful complex of 3% multimolecular hyaluronic acids and polyglutamic acid hydrates dry skin, providing intensive and lasting moisture in just 15 minutes for up to 24 hours. Fine lines and wrinkles caused by dehydration are softened and the skin instantly appears firmer and refreshed. The result is smoother-looking, more plump skin and a youthfully radiant complexion.
Tangible results are at the heart of every BABOR formula. The DOCTOR BABOR HYDRATION Cryo Plumping Mask, the improved successor to the Hydrating Bio-Cellulose Mask, optimally cools and moisturizes the skin after just one application and prevents the skin from drying out. Thanks to the innovative sheet technology, the highly concentrated active ingredients can penetrate the skin directly without evaporating – for a maximum effect!
The revitalizing formula is also free of artificial color and fragrances, meaning it can be integrated into any existing care routine as a high-performance additional treatment for every skin type and condition.

Instructions

Unfold the mask, peel off the outer two layers, and apply to cleansed, dry face. Allow to take effect for 15-20 minutes, then remove the mask and gently massage excess product into the skin.
Can also be used after exposure to the sun. Store in the fridge for the best cooling effect. For an even greater moisturizing effect, it is recommended to apply the DOCTOR BABOR Hydro Replenishing Gel Cream afterwards.

KEY ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

  • Thanks to its broad range in sizes, the perfectly fine-tuned composition of five low to high molecular weight hyaluronic acids instantly creates an intensive moisturizing effect that lasts a long time and strengthens the body’s natural hydration mechanisms. Very low molecular weight hyaluronic acid penetrates deep into the skin and promotes moisture absorption and retention at different epidermal levels, improving skin elasticity and firmness. Medium and high molecular weight hyaluronic acids ensure instant hydration of the epidermis and form a moisturizing film on the skin’s surface. As a result, the skin immediately appears plumper and is protected against moisture loss through evaporation and other osmotic processes.
  • Moisture is stored in the skin for a long time, transepidermal water loss (TEWL) is reduced, and the moisture content equilibrium is sustainably optimized.
  • Polyglutamic acid (PGA), a natural polymer obtained via a biotechnical process through the fermentation of soybeans, is characterized by its unusual effect as a humectant in the skin.
  • Polyglutamic acid forms a protective film on the surface of the skin to minimize moisture loss and boost the skin’s ability to store moisture. Thanks to these water-binding properties,
  • PGA can store up to four times more moisture than hyaluronic acid, as proven in scientific studies. This leaves the skin instantly looking smoother and more elastic. In addition, PGA can inhibit the activity of the enzyme hyaluronidase, which minimizes the natural hyaluronic acid content, stabilizing and increasing the content of hyaluronic acid in the skin. The combination of the two active ingredients has a synergetic, moisturizing effect. In addition, PGA stimulates the natural moisturizing factors (NMF) and increases its own production to improve the skin’s natural hyaluronic acid synthesis.
Secondary active ingredients

  • Niacinamide (2% content), otherwise known as Vitamin B3 and nicotinamide, is a multifunctional, well tolerated active ingredient that has been shown to reduce the formation of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and other visible signs of premature skin aging while strengthening the skin barrier. In addition, it visibly minimizes enlarged pores and helps protect the skin from moisture loss and dehydration.
  • Extract derived from the medicinal plant Centella asiatica, commonly known as Indian pennywort or Asiatic pennywort, is obtained from a moisture-loving tropical plant that grows in China and Sri Lanka, among other places. Based on its healing, regeneration-promoting properties, Centella asiatica is used not only in traditional Chinese medicine, but has also proven successful in cosmetics, enjoying great popularity outside of Asia today. The calming, moisturizing extract has a strong antioxidant effect, protects the skin from free radicals, and strengthens the barrier function.
